Initial character design exploration for D1V1NE. Following the previous environmental trend of naturalistic artificiality, the player character was supposed to equally represent the virtual and real aspects of digital technology.
First Sketch. The stick is a relic of early player interaction models.
Second Iteration. Experimentation with exposure and light sources.
Third Iteration. Contually separating digital and analogue aspects, this sketch followed 'retro' technology.
Fourth Iteration. In homage to early sci fi, this character defined to final design's proactive body language and shaping/value separation.
Fifth Iteration. Closing in on the final design, shape language was explored more closely.
Sixth Iteration. Final detaiiling ahead of the proper design.
